We are seeking a full-time Chef to join our talented team at our restaurant location.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee kitchen operations and coordinate kitchen activities.
2. Prepare, season, and cook food as per la-carte menu, meeting dietary requirements where necessary.
3. Exhibit different cooking styles and methods to kitchen staff.
4. Maintain the quality of food preparation and presentation at all times.
5. Implement proper freezing and preservation techniques to extend ingredient shelf life without compromising quality.
6. Provide support and assistance in all areas within the kitchen.
7. Ensure the seasoning and garnishing of food is done appropriately and the right portion of food is served to customers.
8. Develop new seasonal menus and make changes to existing menus, including price adjustments, while maintaining minimum overhead costs.
9. Educate kitchen staff on hygiene regulations and enforce strict adherence to sanitary practices.
10. Manage stock, including ordering, rotation, and wastage control.
11. Maintain high standards of food hygiene in accordance with regulatory standards.
