About the Role: As a Finance Manager, you will play a key role in the financial operations of the business, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, as well as driving improvements in internal processes. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will have the opportunity to work closely with senior management and take on significant responsibilities in managing financial transactions, compliance, and reporting. Your role will include, but will not be limited to: Managing financial reporting for the asset management business, ensuring compliance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and relevant regulatory frameworks. Overseeing transactional accounting activities, including bank reconciliations, investment income, and capital transactions. Collaborating with the investment team to track performance and ensure the accurate reporting of asset valuations. Supporting financial analysis for key strategic initiatives and acquisitions. Working closely with external auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure the integrity of financial data. Managing monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes with a focus on efficiency and accuracy. Assisting in the preparation of financial statements, reports for the Board, and regulatory filings. About You: To be successful in this role, you will need to be a CA/CPA-qualified finance professional with strong transactional accounting experience and ideally some exposure to the financial services or asset management sectors. Key requirements: CA/CPA qualification (essential). Proven experience in transactional finance management or a similar role, ideally in financial services or asset management. Strong knowledge of AIFRS (Australian International Financial Reporting Standards) and regulatory compliance in the finance sector. Financial services experience is highly desirable, particularly in investment management or asset management. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify process improvements. A high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with senior stakeholders across the business. Must be based in Australia and hold permanent residency.
