Position Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Supervisor to oversee the DC electrical construction of our solar farm projects in NSW.
In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of DC electrical installation, including trenching, subarray cable installation, stringer cable installation, combiner box installation, inverter installation, PV panel connections, and testing & commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervision: Lead and manage the DC electrical construction team, ensuring effective coordination and execution of installation tasks.
* Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures, fostering a culture of safety and compliance on-site.
* Technical Oversight: Review and interpret electrical designs, specifications, and schematics related to DC systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards and local regulations.
* Installation Management: Oversee the installation of DC electrical components, including solar panels, inverters, and balance of system (BOS) equipment, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
* Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections and audits of electrical installations, addressing any issues and ensuring that work meets the required standards.
* Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient integration of electrical systems within the solar farm infrastructure.
* Resource Coordination: Manage the procurement and allocation of materials and equipment necessary for DC electrical construction, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
* Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of project progress, changes, and challenges, providing regular updates to senior management and project stakeholders.
* Training & Development: Mentor and train junior electrical staff, promoting skill development and knowledge sharing within the team.
Requirements
* Education: Formal Electrical Qualifications or Trade Certificate.
* Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical construction, with a focus on DC systems in solar energy projects.
* Certifications: Relevant electrical licenses and certifications as required by Australian regulations.
* Skills: Strong understanding of DC electrical systems, renewable energy technologies, and solar farm construction processes.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams.
* Proficiency in project management software and tools.
