We have an exciting opportunity for a Despatch Shift Manager to join our Night Shift team at Florette in Lichfield. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Despatch operations on site by leading, managing and coaching the Despatch team. You will have direct responsibility for Safety, Quality, Productivity and Waste. You'll be a confident manager with the ability to lead, inspire and develop a team of Supervisors as well as other members of the team. With a focus on safety, you'll drive for continuous improvement and efficiencies in all areas, to ensure all our products are despatched in line with the correct specifications and timescales for our customers. Working hours: 6pm - 4:30am Monday - Thursday Main Responsibilities Ensure company and statutory Health & Safety regulations and hygiene requirements are met at all times. Monitor and report on daily/weekly performance where required and provide detailed handovers. Ensure all paperwork/documentation is completed correctly and signed off in a timely manner (Including monthly stock take information). Ensure all Despatch procedures are carried out to comply with the Quality Manual and BRC standards. Ensure all used and unused products are documented to comply with all traceability and stock rotation requirements. Ensure a high standard of housekeeping is maintained throughout the Despatch areas in line with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Ensure all company disciplinary procedures, back to work interviews, performance reviews and conduct reviews are completed in line with process. Skills and Experience Required Experience leading teams in despatch environments. Experience of managing teams >20 including absence management, disciplinary & grievance and conduct investigations. Good communication skills and a desire to build cross-functional relationships. Able to demonstrate a clear understanding of Safety and Environmental requirements within a chilled produce environment. Good standard of numeracy and the ability to quickly assimilate large quantities of information. This role will require quick decision making and clear communication.
