Responsibilities:
* Support and implement the school's vision
* Collaborate with the Wellbeing and Welfare Teams
* Engage in ongoing professional reading and development
* Adhere to the Staff Code of Conduct and other school policies
* Attend school community functions to support colleagues and students
Specific Responsibilities to this role:
* Offer assessment, counselling, and consultancy services to students and/or their families.
* Provide relevant feedback and follow-up with parents, teachers, pastoral, and support staff.
* Support school staff in recognising and addressing students' specific needs, including social, emotional, academic, and behavioural aspects.
* Lead group workshops and programs for students and parents on topics related to social and emotional well-being.
* Host special interest sessions for parents and students each term, focusing on issues impacting students' learning, behaviour, and emotional health.
* Organise or carry out educational psychological assessments for individuals or groups as needed.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience in Social Work
* Current Working with Children Check
* Cert IV in Counselling
* Experience working with students and parents towards solutions
* High level of attention to detail.
