About the Role
We are seeking an Information Management Officer to be responsive to the organization's needs in planning, development, processing, promotion, and application of record-keeping responsibilities. This role aims to preserve records for the benefit of the community.
* Accurately action and distribute correspondence to staff in a timely manner and classify and capture information in accordance with record-keeping requirements.
* Retrieval of records requests and returns to and from storage.
* Prepare, process, and manage files for transfer to offsite secondary storage.
* Capture data in relation to types and volumes of records processed to support statistical reporting.
* Prepare and distribute courier items for delivery to other sites.
* Prepare outgoing mail as per Australia Post requirements.
* Audit physical and electronic records to ensure data integrity.
* Create NARs relating to the management of EDRMS Locations and to ensure the Authority NAR is maintained.
* Maintain confidentiality while auditing physical files and boxes.
* Liaise with staff to ensure all records management enquiries are resolved quickly and courteously and provide support to internal customers in the effective use of the EDRMS.
* Assist the Information Management Operations Lead to maintain procedures relating to team processes as required.
Requirements
* Demonstrated experience in a records management or related role.
* Experience using TRIM/RM8/CM9 in a similar role.
* Experience working in a customer-focused role dealing with many customer enquiries simultaneously.
* Demonstrated experience in public records classification, and the application of retention and disposal authorities.
* Effective time management skills to prioritise tasks and deliver agreed actions.
* Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team to achieve shared responsibilities and workload support.
* Excellent communication skills and good attention to detail.
This is an initial 3-month contract with possible extension and offers competitive daily rates.
