About us Nepean Private Hospital is located in the multi-cultural Western Sydney City of Penrith. The hospital is a modern 109 bed facility providing a wide range of health services to the local community since 2000 including: orthopaedics, spinal, gynaecology, ENT, plastics, urology and general surgery, endoscopy, cardiology, cardiac angiography and obstetrics. Nepean Private Hospital has established an excellent reputation in the community for its high commitment to customer service, staff satisfaction and quality As a Chef your responsibilities will include: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene levels of food preparation area and kitchen equipment Cook Meal and food preparation for patients as per recipe guide Menu planning Maintain food stock levels and undertake ordering as required Maintain regular daily temperatures of refrigerators and freezers as per food safety standards Implement & maintain the Food Safety Program Liaise with management, dietitians and staff on specific patient requirements & issues Lead, supervise, coach and develop team members to deliver exceptional service Selection Criteria: Hold a Diploma of Commercial cookery (Highly Desirable) Hold a Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery Demonstrated prior experience in a similar role of 3 years Prior experience in a healthcare or Aged Care setting would be an advantage Good working knowledge and understanding of HACCP regulations Knowledge of menu planning, stock control & diet code adjustments Safe Food Handling Certificate Demonstrated ability to work without supervision as well as a part of a team Highly organised, efficient and effective Excellent time management skills Passion for delivering exceptional customer service Available for shifts over a 7-day roster including early/late shifts and weekend work Why Healthscope?
