Queensland university seeking two IT Project Managers
Your new company
A leading Queensland university with operations throughout the state are seeking two IT Project Managers to work on critical digital and infrastructure initiatives to enhance the operations of the organisation!
Your new role
Established many years ago, this organisation has deep ties to multiple communities throughout Queensland not only due to their educational offerings, but it's community engagements. Not limited to just these (and the many employment opportunities the organisation brings), the significant research conducted at their many sites aim to change the lives of people for the better.
Reporting into either the Director of Strategic Projects or Digital Implementation (respectively), you will lead a diverse array of key technical projects within an enterprise level environment. Being a mixture of greenfield and in flight, each will impact multiple campuses and thousands of students (alongside other key stakeholders).
Specifically, one position will focus on an infrastructure focused portfolio including:
* Audio Visual (AV) uplift across the university - with an external vendor handling the AV duties and the university the network, this project will change the face of teaching (think one teacher - multiple campuses).
* Core network rollout - upgrading the core cisco network across multiple dispersed campuses.
* Enterprise firewall upgrade (currently at RFQ stage).
Whilst the other will focus on digital software:
* Service Transformation (ServiceNow) - seeking to deploy the ITSM module and its GenAI capabilities across the organisation (the vendor of which has yet to be determined).
* New CRM configuration and implementation (currently at RFQ stage).
Regardless of the portfolio or project, you will work with vendors to build the technical strategy and then implement these using both internal and external resources. Requiring strong vendor management skills alongside budgeting, project plans, technical road maps, risk management, scheduling, documentation and implementation plans (amongst other skills), your new role will be as varied as it is crucial.
This organisation teats everyone with equal respect regardless of if this individual is working in the service desk team, project team or any of the non-technical departments and encourages collaboration to get the job done. Your feedback is always heard, and you will be valued not only based on your skill set, but yourself as a person.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need as much experience/knowledge across the following as possible:
* Technical Project management
* Partnering with individuals across all levels of an organization (including relationship building)
* Vendor management
* Roadmap planning and execution
* Technical documentation
* Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Perfect communication skills (written and verbal)
* Clear spoken and written communication skills
NOTE:
