ROLE EXPECTATIONS: As a key player in the growth of the business, you will be expected to: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand the company's presence within the building materials market, particularly in the Gladstone Park area.
Identify and target key clients, including builders, contractors, and commercial developers.
Actively pursue new business opportunities by developing strong relationships with key decision-makers in the construction sector.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote the brand and increase market visibility.
Collaborate closely with clients to understand their project requirements and offer tailored building material solutions that meet both functional and aesthetic needs.
Provide expert advice on products, specifications, and installation methods.
Ensure the seamless integration of products into projects from concept to completion, ensuring quality standards are met.
CANDIDATE EXPECTATIONS: To be successful in this role, you must have: Proven experience in building material sales, with a strong background in selling to builders and contractors.
Demonstrated success in business development and a track record of driving sales in the construction or building materials sector.
In-depth knowledge of building materials, products, and trends in the construction industry.
Ability to work autonomously and manage a dynamic sales pipeline.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with builders, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Strong negotiation skills, with a history of successfully closing high-value contracts.
Established relationships with industry professionals such as builders, architects, developers, and contractors will be highly regarded.
Exceptional time management and organizational skills to juggle multiple projects and priorities.
A technical understanding of building materials and construction processes is highly advantageous.
