including developing practical solutions to flood-related issuesApply engineering techniques to develop innovative and robust solutions to difficult to complex hydraulic constraintsCarry out flood risk analysis and floodplain managementCarry out bridge-related flood assessments, including scour analysis and potentially form loss 3D modellingDemonstrate a keen interest in understanding and communicating the nature of flooding, interactions with the built environment, and development of project-specific solutions within the context of wider floodplain risk managementKeep abreast of engineering practices, Australian standards, sustainability and flood resiliency best practice and liaising with Statutory authorities as required.Project DeliveryPrepare hydrology and hydraulics project documentation suitable for approval by authoritiesProvide relevant input into other discipline's project design documentationSupport project delivery in conjunction with Project Managers; including direct liaison with clients and stakeholdersAssist in the preparation of expressions of interest and tender responsesPerform other duties as neededAbout You12+ years' relevant experienceRelevant tertiary qualification (e.g.Bachelor or Masters of Engineering in civil/environmental/other relevant discipline)Accreditation as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland and/or Chartered Engineer (or reciprocal accreditation)Extensive experience in flood modelling and delivering flood studiesKnowledge of Australian Rainfall and Runoff 2019, Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads' Road Planning and Design Manual Volume 3: Parts 5, 5A & 5B, and Queensland Urban Drainage Manual.(Knowledge of Victorian Department of Transport and Planning design guidelines desirable)Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, standards and processesBoth one- and two-dimensional hydraulic modelling skills including experience using industry-standard hydrologic and hydraulic modelling software packages (TUFLOW essential;
