Job Summary
We are seeking a part-time Speech Pathologist to join our team at Morwell Park Primary School. The successful applicant will provide speech pathology services to students, their families and school staff, with a focus on supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
About the Role
This is an education support class position that supports the educational services being provided to students, but must not include duties of teaching as defined in clause 2.6.1 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic) or its successor.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
* Providing speech pathology services that meet the needs of the students, their families and school staff.
* Providing speech pathology services that accord with the highest professional standard.
* Providing a service that respects the students as individuals and at all times promotes their welfare.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, as well as strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to assess and write funding reports.
Key Selection Criteria
* The ability to work as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team.
* Demonstrate an understanding and commitment to the development of a comprehensive speech pathology service to students throughout the school.
* The capacity to develop and implement programs as well as facilitate individual learning within a group setting.
* Demonstrated effective interpersonal communication skills.
* Extensive knowledge and experience in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
* Demonstrated ability to assess and write funding reports for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
