This is a Permanent Full-Time appointment at 80 hours per fortnight.
Role Description
The Clinical Nurse Manager, After Hours will provide clinical leadership and professional consultancy to after-hours nursing staff within Derby Hospital.
They will plan, organise, direct, and coordinate all work arrangements and functions that fall under their jurisdiction to ensure high-quality patient care is delivered at Derby Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide effective nursing leadership and advanced clinical skills relating to Emergency Nursing, High Dependency, General Nursing, Midwifery, or Theatre in an environment of change and evolution of service delivery.
* Coordinate human, physical, and financial resources for the delivery of cost-effective quality nursing care.
* Understand and apply continuous quality improvement programs and risk management.
Requirements
* Eligibility for registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
* Demonstrated ability to provide effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills including conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
