About the Opportunity
Are you a compassionate nurse with a passion for patient-centered care? We're looking for a dedicated Enrolled Nurse to join our team in Nowra on a casual basis.
In this role, you'll support radiologists with stress testing and assist technicians across nuclear medicine and PET-CT modalities. Cannulation skills are essential. As a vital member of our nursing team, you'll play a key role in enhancing patient outcomes and ensuring smooth care flow in our clinic.
Availability is required from 8:30am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday, likely for 2 days a week depending on doctor availability. This position offers casual loading on top of your hourly rate.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver compassionate patient care and exceptional customer service.
* Demonstrate specialist nursing expertise by performing a variety of procedures including but not limited to: Stress tests, IV sedations, FNAs, Core Biopsies, CT Cholangiograms, Discograms, Arthrograms, RFAs, Cardiac CTs, and CT Coronary Calcium Scores, while adhering to established protocols.
* Interpret radiological requests and execute procedures in strict compliance with applicable legislation and departmental policies.
* Commit to continuous professional development by staying abreast of advancements, new techniques, and specialised nursing practices to enhance skills and knowledge.
About You
In addition to your current AHPRA registration and experience, you will bring:
* Demonstrated ability to deliver compassionate care and exceptional service to patients and carers.
* Proficiency in performing a range of specialised nursing procedures (as outlined above).
* Strong initiative and the ability to work autonomously, coupled with problem-solving skills in clinical settings.
* A proven track record of effective teamwork, with excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
* Advanced Life Support certification, or equivalent.
* Previous experience in IV cannulation is preferred; however, training can be provided.
