The Finance Analyst will assist in the preparation of reports to senior stakeholders to support effective decision making across the wider business. The role will also support the coordination and consolidation of budgeting and forecasting processes pivotal to the execution of strategic business objectives. It will also be responsible for ensuring accurate customer billing and management of outstanding customer charges. Responsibilities The Finance Analyst join a small team, reporting into the Commercial Finance Manager, managing two entities (combined revenue $10 mill) working closely with the shared services function of the larger group. Responsibilities will include but not limited to: Financial Reporting and Analysis Prepare and deliver monthly performance reporting to senior stakeholders at a consistent and high-quality standard. Extracting data from key finance systems to conduct variance analysis against budgets and forecasts. Assist in ad-hoc financial analysis and generate insights to improve business performance. Budgeting and Forecasting Supporting the Commercial Finance Manager to coordinate budgeting and forecasting processes Collaborating with Divisional Finance teams to support the monthly processing of financial transactions as well as Budgeting and Forecasting deliverables. Monitor budget performance, analyse variances, and provide insights to ensure alignment with financial goals and strategic objectives. Invoicing and Payments Ensuring invoicing for upcoming education programs are processed accurately and on a timely basis. Ensuring payment is received from all participants in upcoming education cohorts prior to the commencement of each program. Customer Support and Enquiries Acting as the first point of contact for Finance related enquiries and providing appropriate troubleshooting and resolutions. Accounts and Statements Preparation Preparation of Debtors Aged Trial Balances and follow-up of outstanding accounts. Preparation of Education Partner Statements. Process Improvement Identification and implementation of continuous process improvements. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies by identifying and mitigating potential risks in financial reporting and business operations. Your Profile A relevant degree qualification in Accounting and preferably CA or CPA qualified with at least 5 years in a similar role. Commercially aware and financially astute mindset, understanding of how specific drivers impact business performance. Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability with an ability to work systematically through complex matters and positively influence outcomes. Demonstrated attention to detail to ensure highly accurate reporting is delivered to key stakeholders in a timely manner. Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders across the Group. Demonstrated customer service skills, relating to both internal and external stakeholders. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and strong proficiency in PowerPoint. Willingness to engage in and contribute to an organizational culture that fosters personal responsibility, initiative, and a strong commitment to better outcomes. Desirable: PowerBI experience desirable, but not mandatory. Oracle EPM or Hyperion experience is desirable, but not mandatory. Finance experience in a higher education institution desirable, but not mandatory.
