This is a field-based position.Summary:The Biospecimens Sales Executive is responsible for driving sales and business development activities related to clinical biospecimens and biobank services. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with clients, understanding their research needs, and providing tailored solutions to support their scientific projects. Requires strong communication, research, and reporting skills.Primary Responsibilities:Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and academic sectors.Sales Strategy: Implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence.Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of the biospecimen products and services offered, including human and animal tissues, cell products, blood, and other biofluids.Consultative Selling: Engage with clients to understand their research needs and provide customized solutions that align with their scientific goals.Market Research: Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and stay updated on industry trends.Proposal Development: Prepare and present detailed sales proposals and quotations to clients.Order Management: Oversee the entire sales process from order placement to delivery, ensuring client satisfaction.Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including project management, sourcing, and logistics, to ensure seamless order fulfillment.Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in CRM systems.Additional Responsibilities:Develops and executes a business plan and sales strategy by account and market that ensures attainment of personal and company revenue and profitability goals.Initiates and coordinates development of plans to acquire and grow large accounts in existing and new markets.Travels for required sales activity including customer visits, training, exhibits, etc.Partners with Operations to ensure prioritization of product production to meet key account needs.Provides timely feedback and analysis regarding products, sales, markets, competition, and pricing.Creates and conducts market, technical, and product presentations.Sets an example for the business in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational and selling skills, and work habits.Complies with rules and protocols of the Quality Systems department.Develops, manages, and builds working relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and other key stakeholders.Supports opportunities outside of the United States, as required.Any additional activities that support company objectives as determined by the Director of Business Development.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Must have previous sales or business development experience in IVD or related field.Must have a strong work ethic and energetic style; a self-starter with a hunter attitude.Must have strong technical knowledge of the IVD disease state products.Must have a good understanding of the IVD manufacturers product lifecycle from R&D through to ongoing routine production.Must be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational skills.Computer literate and a good working knowledge of Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook, Salesforce, and SAP.Must be able to travel domestically and internationally as needed.Ability to persuade and influence others.Ability to develop and deliver presentations.Must maintain a professional appearance and provide a positive company image.Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.Ability to prioritize according to objectives.Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.Flexibility to adapt to changing situations in a fast-paced environment.Ability to translate customer needs and market data into usable information.An honest, straightforward approach to business and people.A sharp and flexible intellect with a demonstrated track record of creative problem-solving.A results-oriented and common-sense approach with a willingness to follow up on commitments.The ability to thrive in a strategic and tactical hands-on role.Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in business or one of the sciences. Advanced degree preferred but equivalent management experience will suffice. Minimum of four to five years’ experience in IVD/Biotechnology sales or business development with a strong sales record.Occupational Demands:Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms could be present. Frequent sitting for 6-8 hours per day. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 35lbs. International or domestic U.S. travel required.Pay scale of $97,600.00 - $146,400.00 per year depending on training, education, and experience. Bonus is commission-based.
