We are currently looking for a Farm Attendant to join our work crew at our Strahan site. In this role, you will undertake a wide variety of physical tasks on the water and general farmhand duties. This a hands-on position working a 7/7 roster. Shift starts and ends on a Wednesday. Over the 7 days on you will work 84 hours.
What does your week look like?
Rope Tying: Be a master of knots and ropes as you assist our various operations. From securing cages to managing equipment, your skills will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operation.
Stock Protection Rigging: As part of the team, you’ll be responsible for rigging up protective measures to shield the fish from external threats, ensuring their health and wellbeing.
Fish Care: From feeding to monitoring their health, your dedication to fish care will contribute to the high standards of welfare we uphold here at Tassal.
Environmental Protection Practices: Assist with the implementation and adhere to rigours environmental protection protocols, safeguarding the ecosystems we operate in.
Inputting Nets: Your role will involve skilfully inputting nets into designated areas, ensuring optimal conditions for fish growth and harvest.
General Labouring Duties: Embrace the nature of aquaculture with the variety of task that come with working on the water. From maintenance work to operational support.
