Bring your expertise to a workplace that values pride in work and lasting culinary impressions.Qualification Required: Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalentExperience: At least 1 year experience working within a busy kitchen.Job Duties preparing and cooking food Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation Estimating food and labour costsPlanning and organizing special functionsCreate and promote specialsMaintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions.Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff Manage service of food and beverage within the restaurantPlanning menus in consultation with head Chef and restaurant managersEnsuring facilities comply with health regulationsEnsuring all equipment are clean, functional and of suitable appearance.Prepare weekly rosters for the entire kitchen staff.select and provide training to staff as requiredDemonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures to new staffConduct regular meetings with staff time to time to get feedbackGood communication skills to handle complaints or resolve disputesGood understanding customer needs and providing good quality of serviceEnsure clear communication (kitchen) with front staff to create effective working practices.Maintain a constant focus on always providing excellent customer experiencesKey AttributesAbout You:- Seasoned professional with a proven track record in culinary arts- Creative flair and passion for creating memorable dishes- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment- Strong leadership and teamwork skills- Genuine interest in seafood and Australian cuisine- Excellent communication and organizational skillsIf you believe the above-mentioned role describes you, then apply for the position.Please note that only selected candidates will be contacted for an interview.
