About the Role: As the Training Facilitator, you will be primarily responsible for supporting staff performance and ongoing learning at the home and may be required to participate in the facilitation of orientation and workshops at Shared Services. This role will provide support, coaching, mentoring and leadership to all individual and groups of staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and deliver training programs that address the specific needs of staff in aged care
* Ensure training content align with industry standards, regulations, and best practices
* Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps in knowledge and skills among staff
* Develop or improve curriculum outlines, lesson plans, and training materials for each program
* Act as a mentor and coach to all staff
* Ensure that new hires are well-equipped to provide quality care to residents.
* Ensure that training content is engaging, relevant, and promotes active learning
* Conduct orientation and/or induction programs for new staff, introducing them to the facility's policies, procedures, and values.
* Provide hands-on training in clinical skills relevant to aged care, such as medication administration, wound care, and mobility assistance
* Monitor and ensure all staff are up to date with their training requirements
* Communicate effectively with various stakeholders on your training needs and delivery
* Implement methods to assess the effectiveness of training programs.
* Develop individualized training plans for staff members based on their learning needs andcareer goals
Key Requirements:
* APHRA Registration as a Registered Nurse (Essential)
* Current Federal Police Certificate
* Proven experience as a Registered Nurse, with clinical/care leadership experience (Desirable)
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a team environment and provide mentor-ship to junior staff
