About the role You will be responsible for delivering evidence-based assessments, planning, and interventions to our paediatric clients.You will also be part of our continued service development and help run our innovative groups and programs. Sessions will be conducted predominately in our clinic, as we want you to gain a true sense of belonging to our wonderful team, but some regular mobile visits to schools/kindergartens within the Ballarat area will also be required to provide much-needed support to clients who can't easily access our clinic and to ensure carryover of communication development to clients' day-to-day life. You'll have the autonomy to design your workdays, with a travel allowance to support any mobile practice needs. What we're looking for Bachelor / Masters of Speech Pathology and eligibility for SPA membership Professional Indemnity Insurance or ability to obtain Drivers license and own vehicle with comprehensive insurance Experience preferred and/or willingness to learn in the areas of Neurodiversity-affirming practice, AAC, speech sound disorders, language disorders, disabilities and family dynamics, and early intervention. Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check or ability to obtain A commitment to working collaboratively with the Snapdragon Speech team. Ability to show initiative and empathy in helping children and their families Excellent written and verbal communication Strong time management skills. Allied Health Assistant support - they can help you out with day-to-day tasks like organising your resources, laminating, cleaning and tidying up etc. We are flexible with your starting date - for a late 2024 or an early 2025 start.
