About the role:
Working within your local area, you will be supported by a dedicated Care Manager and experienced team, to assist our clients to remain living independently in their own homes. We establish tight-knit care teams by endeavouring to match clients with carers and nurses who have compatible interests to support our clients with:
* Personal care such as showering, dressing, and helping with personal hygiene.
* Palliative care.
* Shopping.
* Preparing and cooking meals.
* Household cleaning.
* Attending appointments or activities within the community.
* Social support and companionship.
Casual positions available. Base rate of $43.15 per hour (including casual loading) + penalty rates on weekends and public holidays. Work hours that suit your lifestyle – shifts vary from 2 hours to 24 hours in length. Shifts are available for qualified carers across the Mornington Peninsula ( Keysborough to Portsea and along the Western port side (Cape Shank & Flinders, Balnarring, Hastings). If you happen to speak a second language, please include this in your application. You will be required to travel to Frankston, Rye and Portsea areas.
We are looking for people who have:
* A Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent (for a Carer role).
* At least 18 months qualified experience in Aged Care / Home Care, ideally in acute setting, residential or community.
* A passion for caring for people and delivering a high standard of care.
* Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills.
* Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Access to a smartphone.
* A current driver’s license and access to a registered, insured and well-presented car.
* The right to work in Australia & can obtain a satisfactory Police Check.
* NDIS Worker Screening Check .
