Job Description: As a Fitter Welder, you will be responsible for fitting, welding, and fabricating metal components to create and repair various structures and equipment used in our recycling operations. You will work closely with our engineering and production teams to ensure all projects are completed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Fit and weld metal components according to blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
* Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on various materials, including steel, aluminium, and stainless steel.
* Conduct inspections and tests to ensure weld quality and structural integrity.
* Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools.
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery.
* Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely.
* Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
* Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Fitter Welder or in a similar role.
* Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques.
* Strong knowledge of welding safety practices and procedures.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
* Relevant certifications or qualifications in welding or a related field.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
