We are seeking a ACPSEM registered ROMP to lead the Quality Assurance & Dosimetry portfolio within the department. The chosen candidate will integrate into the existing ROMP operational structure and be capable of leading a small team. The department has 3 matched Elekta Versa HD linacs, Brainlab Dynamic, Monaco treatment planning system (TPS) and Mosaiq record and verify (R&V) system.
The Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist - Advanced requires low levels of supervision, provides training to registrars, new staff members and other professional groups within the RO department. The successful candidate will be required to undertake management of development projects within the work unit. Participation and contribution in multi-disciplinary team (MDT) meetings, chart rounds and development meetings will be encouraged.
Key Responsibilities include: Provide high level advice, using evidence-based practice, to Radiation Oncologists and Radiation Therapists on the physics of one or more specialised areas in radiation oncology medical physics ensuring optimised patient treatment.Display a high level of knowledge within specialised areas of radiation oncology medical physics, maintaining links with state, national and international centres and independent auditors to ensure best practice.Operational responsibility for maintaining a Radiation Dosimetry standard traceable to ARPANSA.
Remuneration value up to $259,661 p.a., comprising salary between $218,109 - $227.581 p.a. Medical Physicist Attraction and Retention Incentive payment Included, employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP5). Permanent Full time, 76 hrs p.f. or part time position, hours negotiable. Applications will remain current for 12 months.
