The Role
The Lifeguard Operations Coordinator leads the Lifeguard team to ensure guest experience expectations are exceeded while ensuring the safety of staff and visitors.
Working closely with the site Facilities Manager, the Lifeguard Operations Coordinator is
responsible for managing the aquatic operations; whilst maintaining a high level of compliance in relation to aquatic supervision, pool water chemistry and the implementation of processes, expectations and guidelines, to ensure the continued operational efficiency and the safety of staff and visitors to the facility.
About You
You will have a proven track record in managing and coaching a team. Experience in driving a customer centric approach to the provision of programmes and services is essential, while establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders will be second nature.
The ideal applicant will possess the following experience / qualifications / skills:
1. 2 plus years’ experience in managing and operating a facility in the wellness or hospitality industry
2. High level of business acumen
3. Operational Management
4. Guest liaison
5. Occupational Health & Safety
Required qualifications
6. Current Lifeguard Certificate
7. Current Senior First Aid Certificate
8. Current CPR Certificate
9. Valid Working With Children Check
10. National Police Check clearance
11. Driven to success with friendly can do attitude
12. Willingness to work over a 7 day roster. Weekend work essential.
Key Performance Outcomes
13. Be responsible for the operating budget, monitor revenue, set daily revenue targets and control expenses. Provide daily, weekly & monthly reports as required to the Resort Manager.
14. Follow-up and respond to internal and external customer requests promptly and
professionally. Complaint response within 24 hrs.
15. Display leadership skills, integrate with the team harmoniously and maintain open and respectful communication.
16. Lead organised and documented meetings, coaching, training sessions and seminars as required.
17. Ensure that a high standard of personal appearance and dress is maintained at all times.
18. Address any training needs in a timely and professional manner and maintain current industry knowledge
