About the role Council is seeking an experienced and passionate Horticulturalist to assist the team to undertake general ground maintenance within Queens Park. If you enjoy working outdoors and have experience with maintaining turf and garden areas, you will enjoy this role. Some of your key responsibilities will include: Establish turf areas and gardens in Queens Park and assist with minor landscape construction works Assist with the daily routines in the Ipswich Nature Centre Identify and treat diseases in turf and garden plants Identify and treat weeds. About you To be successful in this role you will have: Current C Class Drivers Licence Immunisation against Q Fever and Rabies FIT Testing for respiratory protection equipment: workers must pass a respirator fit test before they first start wearing a tight-fitting respirator and at regular intervals during their employment. Workers must be clean shaven or only have facial hair that doesn't interfere with the fitting surfaces and the valve of the respirator Current LR Licence would be an advantage Level 3 Certificate in Horticulture or related field would be an advantage. A pre-employment medical will be required for this role (Including drug and alcohol testing).
