Purpose of The Role As the Settlements Manager, you will be responsible for driving the Settlements Department to achieve key outcomes in all payment and liability related matters, and to contribute to the strategic direction of the business, through effective management of staff while developing continuous improvement processes and practices. Position Accountabilities The Settlements Manager will be responsible for third party claims. This includes: Payments to third parties, their insurers, and representatives for all losses arising from the incident Negotiation of settlement apportionment with third parties, their insurers, and representatives Customer service related functions Performance of external partners including panel lawyers, assessors, and investigators What experience you’ll bring; Strong people leadership experience and demonstrated ability to develop/train technical staff within recoveries or claims Extensive background in managing claims and liability matters relating to insurance Thorough understanding of legal processes relating to insurance litigation Proactive and energetic approach to help drive the business forward and expand existing knowledge and skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to maintain strong relationships with internal & external stakeholders The benefits of working at A&G; Location : This role will be based in our North Lakes Office.
