As Captain, you will take pride in the integral role you play in supporting your In Room Dining Colleagues and setting the stage for a truly memorable experience.What you will be doing:Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging serviceUnderstand and execute all roles of the In Room Dining (Private dining busperson, server and order taker) due to business needs.Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful wayHave full knowledge of all beverage listsDeliver food and beverage in a timely and accurate mannerPick up orders efficiently from the kitchenCheck outgoing orders for quality and accuracy of set upHave full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methodsFollow outlet policies, procedures and service standardsFollow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.Assist the F&B Manager with Special Projects utilizing Microsoft Excel and Word.Other duties as assignedYour experience and skills include:Previous Food & Beverage service experience preferredPrevious Silverware, Opera or similar Point of Sale Programs preferredExcellent communication and organizational skillsStrong interpersonal and problem-solving abilitiesHighly responsible & reliableAbility to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work cohesively as part of a teamAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesProficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):Constant standing and walking throughout shiftFrequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbsOccasional kneeling, pushing, pullingOccasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and rampsVisa Requirements:Must have proof of eligibility to work in the United States.Our commitment to Diversity & Inclusion:We are an inclusive company and our ambition is to attract, recruit and promote diverse talent.Why work for Accor?We are far more than a worldwide leader.
