Job Description
* Manage schedules ensuring adequate cover for the shop floor for customer service opening & closing times.
* Assist on recruitment, interviews, selection, training and development of new employees.
* Focus on increasing Sales, ATV and conversion to drive margin and profit and achieve targets.
* Understand daily, weekly and monthly store targets, clearly identifying what this means in terms of sales, profitability, costs, staffing levels and ensuring this information is communicated effectively to the team.
* Ensure the retail shop is always presented and merchandised to the highest standards whilst maintaining focus on the most profitable items and ensuring delivery of the retail KPIs.
* Responsible for the induction and development of the team by providing on-the-job training and assessing progress through written reviews and probations.
* Train and develop the team to ensure they deliver outstanding customer service.
* Review team performance providing immediate feedback (both positive and developmental) to recognize and praise excellent performance and to develop areas of need.
* Identify and proactively manage any poor performance issues using appropriate company policy.
* Complete and update all retail targets and communicate to the team.
* Ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to.
* Ensure consistent and exceptional standards of customer service in all retail locations.
* Maintain outstanding presentation and visual merchandising standards at all times. Ensure the shop is tidy, clean, and full at the end of the day.
* Understand the impact that visual merchandising and balance of price points has on customer conversion, average spend, and gross profit margin results.
* Ensure all staff are kept up to date on changes to products, offers, and promotions.
* Reduce stock loss in store. Observe safety and security procedures. Report any misuse or theft of stock.
* Perform weekly store visits to each branch and weekly one-on-one meetings with each store manager.
* Perform monthly SVR report for each store, communicate scores, and ensure that previous month SVR has been reviewed and corrective actions have been taken.
* Plan product moves between stores and take necessary actions to ensure high stock turn rate.
* Communicate with the purchasing department all required replenishments and ensure products reach stores on time.
* Prepare and present weekly & monthly detailed retail reports to the Sales & Marketing Director.
Job Requirements
* Holds a bachelor's degree.
* Proven experience as a Retail Manager or similar position.
* Leadership and organizational abilities.
* Interpersonal and communication skills.
