Job Description
This role joins the Airborne Solutions Engineering team as a B1 AME and LAME reporting to the Senior Base Engineers, for the completion of assigned aircraft maintenance and modifications. This is a full-time fixed term role based out of Cairns which will currently take you until June 30, 2025.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Hold Safety as a core value and contribute to the achievement of a Zero Harm and an incident / injury free environment through active participation in all safety programs relevant to the position
* Perform the duties of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Avionics
* Ensure all aircraft maintenance is carried out in line with the Aircraft Maintenance manuals, MOE, procedures manuals and responsible CAMO requirements
* Responsible for the general condition, upkeep of the hangar and workshop
* Compliance to the FRMS and WHSMSM policies and procedures
* Perform any other duties as directed by the SBE/HoM
* Be Responsible for personal tool control and equipment used in maintenance
* Report and defect found during maintenance to certifying engineer
* Carry out aircraft wiring and systems modifications as directed
Qualifications
Essential Criteria
* Australian Citizen
* Part 66 classic Dash 8 Rating (for LAME role)
* Have sound communication and troubleshooting skills
* Proven ability to work in a team environment
* Demonstrated time management and organisational skills
* Avionics modification experience
* Flexibility to travel at times
* Ability to read and interpret engineering orders for modifications
Desirable Criteria
* Both line maintenance and heavy maintenance experience
* Cert IV Aeroskills – Mechanical
* Dash 8 Experience
* Confined space training
* Current first aid Certificate
* Forklift license
