About the Opportunity
Join our Maritime Sustainment line of business as a Mechanical Engineer based at Garden Island NSW or Portsmith QLD, reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Team Lead.
This role involves designing capability upgrades and support maintenance activities on the Hobart Class Destroyer (DDG).

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and collaborate on mechanical design aspects of engineering changes
* Conduct requirements analysis and produce detailed reports
* Support project management tasks and track progress
* Resolve engineering issues and deliver technical reports and presentations
* Evaluate designs against stakeholder requirements and regulatory standards
* Contribute to integration, validation, and testing plans for mechanical systems
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Naval Architecture, Marine or Aeronautical Engineering.
You should be eligible for graduate membership with Engineers Australia (IEAust) and have proven experience as a professional engineer.
Demonstrated experience in developing mechanical designs, participating in design reviews, performing design analyses, and implementing integrated, validated, and qualified solutions is highly valued.
