About The Role We focus on our clients' strategic, operational, financial and capital needs by addressing the full spectrum of financial and transactional tests faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies and other stakeholders. Typical Restructuring team assignments include lead financial restructuring advisory; financial, operational, and commercial due diligence; business reviews; cash and working capital management; valuation; contingency planning and insolvency. Within that context, we are currently seeking talented and ambitious individuals with experience of complex entity priority modelling to join our London based Restructuring team. You would be part of our Restructuring team with specific responsibility for complex models, including entity priority models. What You'll Do Day-to-day project management of engagements (primarily modelling focused engagements or workstreams) involving: Assisting in the structuring of the engagement approach, scope, and deliverables. Taking a leadership role in the delivery of model build and review engagements or workstreams. Leading model build and model review assignments, and ensuring robust models are developed which provide high levels of flexibility and are user-friendly. Managing the team to address the scope within the required timeframe and budget. Forming initial views and opinions on the engagement to debate with either lead Managing Director or Senior Managing Director. Take a lead role in business development activities, such as: Contributing to thought leadership presentations and events. On the job coaching of our team and providing training activities. Be proactive in the development of the business through: Conducting research into potential opportunities and processing market intelligence opportunities. Preparation of formal pitch presentations. Attendance at client relationship building events. Coaching on job and sharing best practice experience to assist in the development of the team. Maintaining relevant templates and tools for use by self and the wider team. Building and sharing personal relationship networks. What You Will Need to Succeed Travel required to clients and to FTI office(s). Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a numerate subject. ACA, ACCA or equivalent (1st time passes). Ability to work in a meritocratic structure which recognises and rewards individual contribution. Excellent analytical skills, including presentation of outputs. Expert knowledge of Excel and manipulation/analysis of diverse data sets, including strong entity priority modelling skill set. Ability to be flexible with the demands of transaction/project-based work that can require periods of intensive work. Strong communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team with diverse skill sets. We are open to considering candidates of all levels with experience of entity priority modelling, with particular focus on candidates who have experience of taking a lead or senior role on such engagements. Additional experience of building or working with other models in a financial restructuring context would be advantageous e.g., capital structure models, business plan models. Experience of discussing and presenting findings to clients, other stakeholders, or senior internal team members. Candidates may have experience of either i) working as part of a dedicated modelling team which supports a range of teams including restructuring colleagues or ii) working within a restructuring team and have taken a lead role on complex modelling assignments.
