The Role - MUST BE CONFIDENT IN AN AUTONOMOUS ROLE A full-time position has become available for a Civil Draftsperson to work with our Robina office Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have great communication skills, both written and verbal along with a technical and design-focused aptitude. You will support our Principal / Senior Civil Engineers and importantly work together as part of a 'small team' structure on projects. In the interest of developing personal professional skills – The small team members is alternated on different projects to ensure that each our team gains further skills and exposure to a range of technical projects under the guidance of our Chartered Professional Engineers. Formal Tertiary Qualification Requirements: Diploma or Associate Degree in Engineering that includes 'Units' specific to the Civil Engineering specialisation (Course duration being generally 1-2 years) Diploma or Associate Degree in Construction that includes 'Units' specific to Civil Construction will be highly regarded (Course duration being generally 1-2 years) Degree in Engineering with a specialisation other than 'Civil Engineering' will be highly regarded in demonstrating a candidate's technical aptitude. Skills and Experience: High level proficiency in AutoCAD is essential Well-developed design skills using AutoCAD to communicate the civil engineering design solution Comprehensive skill, knowledge, and ability in civil drafting Experience in the Civil Engineering design principles related to roadworks, stormwater drainage, sewer (gravity and pumped) and water infrastructure Understanding and general experience in 12D modelling software to allow design coordination with other Designers and Engineers Knowledge of Geographic Information System (GIS) software – Subject to further Owen CPD Knowledge of hydraulic design principles - water infrastructure – Subject to further Owen CPD Application of applicable Australian Standards Application of applicable industry adopted design guidelines Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Job Type: Full-time Pay: $70,000.00 – $82,000.00 per year Benefits: Professional development assistance Schedule: Monday to Friday Work Location: In person #J-18808-Ljbffr
