Maintenance Services on MHS equipment on site is an integrated and important part of our core business as a company. Vanderlande focuses on continuously improving by intense cooperation between all the disciplines within our company together with our customers.In this challenging role, you will serve one of our key customer systems in the Greater Sydney area as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician. The system includes high-end automated material handling solutions which are critical for the business of our customer. This is an electro-mechanical system controlled using low-level and high-level control systems. You will be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance activities during the shift and will ensure that the maintenance activities are delivered in a professional manner.Tasks may include but are not limited to conducting preventative and corrective maintenance inspections, diagnosing and repairing systems, using data analytics to enhance system performance, providing technical support to our customer, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. This is a full-time on-site role incorporating 12hr shifts on a 24/7 roster.QualificationsTrade qualification (Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical) with at least 3 to 5 years post trade experience as a Service TechnicianStrong mechanical background working on industrial equipment.Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.Good written and verbal communication skills (English).Highly motivated with a keen interest to further your own ability and studies.Honest, reliable and proactive with a strong sense of accountability and responsibility.Highly RegardedDual Trade Certificate (electrical and mechanical).Experience in logistics, postal sorting, and baggage handling systems highly regarded.Position RequirementsSuccessfully obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card for Sydney Airport.Criminal checks are required as part of this process.ID checks will be performed to verify work entitlements in Australia.Fully vaccinated for COVID-19.Pass Pre Employment medical examination including drug and alcohol testing.A competitive remuneration package will be offered to someone who is a team player with a positive, energetic attitude and work ethic as well as the ability to think outside the square.In a world of technology, Vanderlande believes in its people – its employees make the difference in everything the company does.
