About the Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Firmware Engineer to join our Surveillance and Communications business unit in Adelaide's defence precinct, Edinburgh Parks, SA. This role involves developing and maintaining hardware supporting mission-critical defence radar systems.
The key responsibilities include:
Designing and developing new VHDL firmware Maintaining current product lines and providing engineering support for hardware and firmware Collaborating with a team, including mentoring junior engineers Undertaking product-level testing and hardware integration activities Collaborating with various engineering disciplines Producing detailed design and test documentation
About You
Understanding of the engineering development lifecycle Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations Experience in Intel FPGA VHDL firmware development cycles 3+ years of experience with Modelsim/Questasim Advanced Simulator and TCL scripting Hardware-level debugging Familiarization with TCP/IP and network protocols
