Our client has been providing a range of support and employment services for adults with a disability who live in the Wellington Shire for over the last 50 years. The organisation is committed to providing programs based on individual needs, focusing on enhancing personal development, increasing independence, and promoting community inclusion. Our client employs approximately 50 employees who provide services to people with disability across the Wellington Shire.
The Opportunity
As the Manager you will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations. You will play an integral part in the operation of a respite facility being available to the community. You will have a solid understanding of the NDIS and be able to interpret and navigate the scheme to ensure compliance and best practice for our client and their participants. The position is responsible for but not limited to:
1. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
2. Work collaboratively with the CEO to support forward planning and strategic developments
3. Engage with the community and external stakeholders to inform of the services available and build active participants
4. Ensure all risk, governance and compliance is being met and procedures and reporting functions are accurate
5. Apply the highest standards of ethical conduct in all dealings with members, staff, contractors and stakeholders
6. Lead and support all functions of the business including HR, Administration, finance and quality to ensure business objectives are being delivered.
About you….
1. Hold a Business Management or Operations qualification or demonstrated experience
2. Experienced in a Quality assurance function
3. You have managed your own support service or have transferable experience / skills.
4. You have experience with NDIS procedures, legislation, requirements and a strong understanding of how the NDIS works to ensure your members are getting the services provided
5. Have a genuine interest and passion for working in a not-for-profit sector where you can ‘give back’ to the community.
6. Management and Leadership experience in a private sector
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
8. Be well organised and detail orientated.
