Sedgman is undertaking extensive data automation and data intelligence transformation of its systems and processes using various cloud technologies and leveraging artificial intelligence.
To support this Sedgman is looking for a Business Intelligence Developer to assist with developing and maintaining business intelligence reporting, databases and in-house developed applications. Outputs will include aiding the business in making informed decisions by presenting cross-department data in an efficient manner. Managing data integration, analytics and business intelligence projects to enable reporting and analysis for a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Work as part of the Systems & Innovation group supported by team of Data Scientists/Analysts and Developers to deliver proof-of-concept, pilot and solutions into production.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ability to design, develop and support reports and dashboards within an enterprise reporting environment and provide data analysis.
* Translate business requirements into data solutions and models.
* Build tables, views and models to meet requirements.
* Design and develop efficient visualisations and Power BI reports following set standards.
* Ability to extract, transform and load data within the DWH.
* Execute the test and deployment solution for data models and reports.
* Configure and maintain multiple layers of security relating to Power BI reports.
* Perform data validation and quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of reports.
* Assist with creation of standards, policies, patterns, and efficiencies across our BI platforms.
What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Data Analytics, or related field.
2-5 years of experience in a BI Developer/Specialist role.
* Strong experience in SQL, Python, C# programming languages
* Experience in data modelling, T-SQL (using Azure SQL or SQL Server on Azure MI)
* Advanced skills in Power BI, DAX, Power Query
* Experience in Power Apps
* Experience with SSIS and SSRS
* Experience in creating automated workflows using Power Automate/Logic Apps
* Experience with Visual Studio
* Experience with Azure Data Factory
* Experience in migrating data from third-party applications
* Experience in APIs
