Capability Life Cycle Management (CLCM)
The CLCM is integrated into the System Program Office (SPO) and contracted to deliver through-life asset management of Products being supported (PBS). The CLCM performs asset, sustainment and engineering functions to optimise availability and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and minimise risk through life of the PBS. The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with Regional Maintenance Centre’s (RMC) to plan maintenance activities and installation of capability upgrades. The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with the Design Services Contract (DSC) to plan and execute engineering changes and services. The CLCM delivers functions against the contract scope across the Asset Class Enterprise to support Defence Maritime Capability.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a System Specialist – Systems Operations who will be responsible for Asset Sustainment Optimisation across the ACS CLCM by applying Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) knowledge and experience. This role will require a deep understanding of Asset Sustainment Optimisation, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with a range of internal and external asset sustainment stakeholders. Experienced and skilled ILS and LSA practitioners should apply.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct system Reliability and Front-End Logistic Support Analysis including Maintenance Requirements Determination (MRD) analysis on systems operations based on operator usage and training factors to support Maintenance Effectiveness Reviews in accordance with the Approved ACS CLCM Asset Management Plan (AMP) and Asset Management Master Schedule.
2. Design and/or research subsystem interfaces to ensure that subsystems are integrated and work together to form a viable complete system.
3. Perform functional analysis of a system to ensure it meets performance criteria and mission constraints and feed the analysis back into the subsystem development teams.
4. Execute engineering assignments under direction and guidance of higher-level engineers and assist other high level engineers or higher level engineering program elements engaged in an engineering or research project.
5. Carry out predetermined concepts and procedures for equipment or interface design, testing, construction and installation, engineering research and study programs.
6. Participate in the maintenance effectiveness analysis program and ACS stakeholder reviews.
7. Report on the health of the Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) environment, by assessing conformance against the metrics developed through LSA supportability, test and evaluation activities. Ensure that actions resulting from non-conformance against these metrics are addressed through the appropriate channels, including the Capability Innovation and Efficiencies process, Engineering Investigations or Engineering Change through the Request or Problem Resolution (RPR) process.
8. Responsible for Asset Sustainment Optimisation initiatives and related Stewardship across the ACS Enterprise.
9. Represent the company at subcontractor's plants, customer's engineering department, field and test installations or other field locations. May serve as company representative advising customer and contractor personnel on technical requirements for products or services, support equipment and electronic equipment installation.

10. Requires a minimum of 6-10 years relevant experience in systems engineering within the Defence maritime domain.
11. Requires a minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience in Integrated Logistics Support within the Defence maritime domain.
12. Requires a minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience in Logistic Support Analysis within the Defence maritime domain.
13. Technical proficiency in Systems Operations
14. Navy Technical Risk Management experience.
15. Verbal and Written Communication in a team environment.
16. Works autonomously, directing and coordinating the work of engineers and other technical personnel engaged in the compilation of engineering data, construction and testing of models, designing subsystem components, writing reports and test procedures
17. Must be eligible for ITAR clearance of relevant ship systems.
Desirable:
18. Certificate IV in the maintenance and operation domain.
19. Nationally Recognised Training (NRT) Code TLISS00213 - Conduct Logistics Support Analysis in Defence Materiel Logistics Skill Set (incorporates RAM, FMECA and LORA)
20. NRT Code TLIX0028X - Develop technical publications to support integrated logistics
21. NRT Code TLIX0031X - Provide maintenance engineering support in a defence integrated logistics environment
22. NRT Code TLIX0032X - Undertake configuration management to support integrated logistics
23. NRT Code TLIX0034X - Undertake supply support in integrated logistics.
24. Change management experience.
All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Baseline Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding a Baseline Clearance or above should apply.
