Position Details Primary Role: Family Participation Program/ Delegated Authority ( according to legislation, must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent ) Work Location: Nambour Employment Type: Permanent Part Time, 4 day work week (30, 32 or 34hrs) Salary Range: $35 – $46 per hour Salary Sacrifice up to $15,000 annually Qualification & Experience: Qualification in Community/Social Services and/or relevant experience Position reports to: Team Leader Position Summary Implementing 5 elements of the Child Placement Principles Preparing, engaging, and facilitating Family Lead Decision Making meetings. Your experience and knowledge of federal and state-based legislation including child protection legislation relevant to service delivery. Sound understanding of child protective issues and family support approaches. Understanding of issues facing children and families with complex family dynamics and needs Negotiate, plan and coordinate placement for children. Facilitate conflict resolution between parents and department staff. Educate families regarding all system/programs that impact them and/or the foster child (Child Protection system, court system, Youth Justice System, Licensing, etc) Meet referred family, clarify Delegated Authority functions and powers. Role may be multi-disciplinary, including parts of Community and Kinship Care, Family Participation Program, Delegated Authority. This will be discussed further in the interview process.
