You will provide staff training on the principles of offender management and contribute to research in treatment and assessment of offenders with a focus on Aboriginal offenders.Your key duties will include:Undertaking assessments and delivering treatment to address criminogenic risk and the psychological needs of offenders.Generating psychological and risk assessment reports.Developing offence-specific program manuals and staff training packages.Assisting in the development and implementation of clinical governance frameworks to ensure ethical, evidence-based, and best practice standards are maintained.Ensuring inter-jurisdictional relationships are developed and rehabilitative outcomes for Aboriginal offenders are improved.To be successful, you require tertiary qualifications in psychology with eligibility for membership of the Australian Psychological Society; demonstrated experience in criminogenic assessment, treatment, and risk management of high-risk offenders; and expertise in the assessment and delivery of psychological interventions for non-criminogenic needs.
