As a Security Officer, your attentiveness, efficiency and commitment will ensure your hotel remains a safe, enjoyable workplace and travel destination.Hourly Rate: $26.96What you will be doing: Provide security, emergency, and first aid assistanceImplement, as directed by the Security Manager, all policies and programs related to Security ServicesGuide and support all leaders and colleagues with respect to safety & security proceduresEducate all new Fairmont colleagues on safety & securityAssist in the training of all new security officersCreate and maintain proper documentation on any incidents reported by guests or colleaguesEnsure adherence to Lost & Found procedures including accepting items with proper documentation, assisting colleagues & guests with inquiries, maintaining accurate logs and following retention guidelines.Investigate and follow up on any reports made by guests or colleaguesReview the business continuity plan with the security manager and ensure that all updates are communicated to colleagues, and that all necessary training is providedConduct lock interrogations and assist Engineering Department with lock repairsConduct foot and vehicle patrolsConduct health screenings on colleagues and vendors in accordance with company and government guidelines.Organize time so all side work is completed according to shift demandMaintain atmosphere of aloha spirit by providing engaging, personalized, timely, and efficient service to our discerning guestsFocus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesPromote and enforce health and safety awareness as well as to have a complete understanding of the emergency proceduresYour experience and skills include: Security, law enforcement, and/or loss prevention experience is an assetMust be able to speak, read, write and understand the English languageRequires good communication skills, both verbal and writtenMust be able to read and write to facilitate the communication processMust be service oriented and capable of communicating effectively with persons involved in all levels of authority, both internally and externallyMust possess basic computational abilityMust possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, and e-mail functionsLicenses or Certificates State of Hawaii Guard CardValid Driver's LicenseCPR/First Aid CertificationAll Candidates must be in possession of identification proving authorization to work in the United States as defined in the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA).
