The Executive Assistant (EA) is accountable to the Assistant Commissioner for the provision of high level, confidential secretarial, administrative and research support services, thereby contributing to the achievement of Service objectives.
The EA will be required to strategically manage the plans, schedules and information flow for the Assistant Commissioner based on their goals and priorities.
This position will frequently liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including those who may have sensitive and confidential requirements, necessitating a high level of integrity and professionalism. Additionally, the position will require the collation of data and insights to provide sound recommendations, undertake project work, and assist with the broader deliverables of a small team that supports the Assistant Commissioner as required.
The incumbent must have a high level of stakeholder engagement and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. The Executive Assistant will demonstrate initiative and be able to proactively anticipate the needs of the Assistant Commissioner. The candidate should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, business acumen, be highly organized with a strong focus on attention to detail, be resilient and highly adaptable, have the ability to think laterally, and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Metropolitan Operations Service
This position will work within Metropolitan Operations Service (MOS), a Service within SAPOL. MOS provides a 24/7 policing response across the metropolitan area of Adelaide. MOS is comprised of four Districts (Eastern, Western, Southern and Northern), as well as Public Transport Safety, and Operation Mandrake and Meld. Each District has Response, District Policing, Criminal Investigation, and Community and Engagement functions that support our State in maintaining a safe community.
The Assistant Commissioner MOS is the head of this Service and is responsible for directing the policing effort to achieve the South Australian Police vision of Safer Communities. A one team mindset is applied across the Service to ensure the provision of quality policing services that are highly visible and responsive to community needs and expectations.
Special Conditions
* The incumbent must hold a current Australian work eligibility status and will be subject to a criminal history check.
* The incumbent may be assigned to other duties at this remuneration level or equivalent.
* Some out of hours work and intra/interstate travel may be required.
* The incumbent is required to participate in SAPOL’s iEngage program.
Salary
ASO4 - $76,561 - $80,256 per annum.
