Job Opportunity: Mechanical Design Engineer
Are you an experienced design engineer with mechanical design and 3D drafting experience, here in Victoria? Would you like to work on some of the most prestigious water and waste water projects in Australia?
My client is a leading mechanical equipment company, working across Australia on projects as well as in New Zealand. I am working with my client, in order to source a knowledgeable and practical Mechanical Design Engineer to facilitate the supply of high quality mechanical equipment to major and regional water authorities, Tier 1 contractors and industrial clients.
Reporting to one of the company's directors, experience with the following is required:
1. Proficiency in 3D and 2D drafting using: SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, and AutoCAD
2. Production of: Process and Instrument Diagrams (P & ID's)
3. Service inspections and relevant research for engineering strategies
4. Preparation of technical information to include in quotes, tender responses, and sales literature
The role will be focusing on and providing technical support and guidance to vital design and engineering, so the ideal candidate will have to be proficient in 3D and 2D Drafting software as well as have the ability to operate and maintain the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System. In essence, if you have worked in a similar role for a design company on mechanical equipment to a high level, then these responsibilities should be second nature.
As well as working in a similar role, my client is keen to look at candidates with the following:
1. 3+ years minimum experience with a highly respected land development company.
2. Minimum Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience working in the infrastructure sector.
3. The ability to influence and converse freely with workers on site, managers in the business, & board level directors.
4. Ambition, drive & the hunger to progress and better yourself.
For the right candidate, an attractive salary between $90K-$120K per annum + 13% super is on offer. The role is office-based in the company's flagship Carrum Downs office.
