Your role
An exciting opportunity exists within our Insurance & Corporate Risk team for a Legal Executive Assistant. This role will support our General Insurance and Sensitive Claims team. The team are hard-working and passionate with a collaborative and supportive approach. You will collaborate with the other Legal Executive Assistants in the team to support each other and the team as a whole.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, a self-starter and proactive.
As a key addition to this team, some of your responsibilities will include:
email and phone management;
diary management including organising meetings;
liaising with clients, barristers and various stakeholders;
preparing court books and briefs;
filing court documents with the County and Supreme Courts;
drafting correspondence (including dictation), document production and amendments including use of precedents;
database management and coordination;
high volume file management including file opening and electronic filing;
general administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying and conducting searches as required;
co-ordination of monthly billing, client reporting and other general account duties.
What you need
The successful candidate will have at least 2+ years' legal secretarial experience (litigation and personal injury experience favourable) and will also possess the following attributes:
excellent prioritisation and organisational skills;
resilience and a commitment to excellence that matches our own;
self-motivated and an ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment;
strong understanding of MS Office applications;
ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities;
team orientated and committed to building rapport with other practice group team members;
initiative and strong desire to contribute to team success.
