We are now looking for our next professional who is just as passionate about customer satisfaction.The OpportunityWe are looking for a full-time Print Machinist working five days per week based in Mayfield West, NSW, a suburb of Newcastle, NSW.Reporting to the Production Manager, this role is responsible for operating and maintaining the SX52 and Heidelberg cylinder machines while ensuring high-quality production outcomes.More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:Operating and maintaining the SX52 machine, including the Stenz Envelope FeederOperating and maintaining the Heidelberg Cylinder machinesMixing PMS colours as requiredPreparing jobs by checking proofs, previous samples, and Pantone chartsMaintaining and managing the knife forme library and arranging reruling when neededAssisting with other production tasks, including binding and finishing to meet production deadlinesLiaising with the Production Manager and team to achieve print job outcomesSetting priorities to meet job delivery deadlinesRecommending, communicating, and maintaining standards, procedures, and policiesEnsuring general housekeeping by keeping the production floor and machines clean and tidyFollowing safe practices to prevent injuries and accidentsWhat You NeedTo qualify, you will need strong organisational and time management skills, along with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the printing or production industry. Experience in operating and maintaining the SX52 and Heidelberg cylinder machines will also be essential.Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:Experience in mixing PMS coloursProficiency in preparing jobs using proofs, samples, and Pantone chartsFamiliarity with maintaining a knife forme libraryAbility to manage and set priorities to meet tight deadlinesA commitment to following safe work practicesAs our ideal candidate, you will possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, along with a high level of dependability and a proactive approach to work.
