* Offering competitive remuneration | $46.67 - $50.32 per hour + super + NFP salary benefits (depended on experience)
Beaumont People are proud to be supporting The Junction Neighbourhood Centre (JNC), which has been an integral part of the local community for over 50 years. With community centres in Maroubra, Glebe, and Bondi Junction, JNC offers a wide range of services that support families, individuals, and older people who are socially isolated or at risk. JNC's mission is to build strong, connected communities by providing support to those who are socially isolated, disadvantaged, and vulnerable.
We are seeking a passionate Group Services Coordinator to join a small, dedicated Aged Services team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of older people.
In this role, you will coordinate a variety of group social support activities and outings aimed at fostering connection, improving wellbeing, and reducing social isolation for older individuals. You will play a key part in delivering high-quality, person-centred services that are inclusive, safe, and aligned with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Planning, organising, and delivering group activities and outings for older people, both at the JNC centres, online, and in the wider community.
* Coordinate all travel and venue-specific logistics and ensure resources are allocated effectively.
* Develop service plans with clients and ensure planned activities are in accordance with individual service plans, safety and quality standards, and policies.
* Supervise a team of support workers and volunteers, providing support and direction to ensure activities are facilitated effectively.
* Engaging with clients and adapting services based on feedback.
* Maintain accurate client data, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with relevant safety and wellbeing policies.
* Previous experience in providing services to older people or people with disabilities is crucial. You’ll need to demonstrate an understanding of wellness approaches in service delivery and be capable of working with a diverse group of clients.
* You will be adept at managing time and resources effectively, planning and coordinating a variety of group activities and outings.
* You will work closely with a dedicated team, but you’ll also be independent and able to take initiative when needed. A collaborative approach to problem-solving and service delivery is essential.
* A deep commitment to helping vulnerable community members and an understanding of cultural diversity is key.
* Excellent interpersonal skills are a must – you'll be working directly with clients, volunteers, and external partners.
* You should be comfortable using IT systems, including CRM software, to maintain service records and data.
* You must hold a valid Australian Driver’s License and willingness to drive a 12-seater bus to transport clients to various outings and activities is desirable.
What’s in it for you!
* A flexible and supportive environment; opportunity to work alongside a passionate, close-knit team.
* Engage in rewarding work within the community.
* Above award hourly rate, plus NFP salary packaging which can increase take home salary significantly.
* Enjoy a 35-hour working week.
* A dynamic role working in the community; every day is different!
