The Position We invite applications from dynamic and inspired Secondary Music Teachers.
This is a full-time ongoing position, commencing Term 2, Wednesday 23 April 2025.
Reporting to the Director of Music and the Head of Faculty (Music Curriculum), the successful candidate will be able to deliver high-quality instruction across years 7-12.
The candidate should demonstrate a solid understanding of curriculum content, be able to use technology to support teaching, understand the individual learning needs of students, and develop and implement innovative teaching methodologies to enhance student engagement.
Qualifications and Requirements Relevant teaching qualifications and current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).Tertiary Music Qualifications with relevant music classroom experience.A passionate and engaging educator with a growth mindset.Must have competent piano accompaniment skills.Confident in using music technology.Able to collaborate effectively within a team across multidisciplinary areas.Experience with ensembles is an advantage.Our teachers are expected to participate in and support our community to ensure students have a well-rounded school experience encompassing curriculum, co-curricular, and pastoral care.
Assisting at some out-of-school hour rehearsals and music-related events will be required.
