About the Role
This is a great opportunity to join Santos’ CSG Subsurface team based in Brisbane. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will work closely with development geologists and geophysicists within the team to fully integrate G&G with RE technical work.Play an integral part in delivering on key objectives while applying and developing your analytical skillset and expertise in Reservoir Engineering, to analyse field and well production performance information to help support the future development drilling opportunities and reservoir management activities.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Provide reservoir engineering analysis of field and well production data and pressure information.
2. Analyse production and subsurface datasets and provide reservoir diagnostics in order to identify reservoir management insights and opportunities.
3. Provide reservoir engineering input into the next tranche of field development projects using appropriate reservoir models to determine optimal well spacing, type curves and production forecasts.
4. Maintain and develop appropriate reservoir models to provide gas and water production forecasts for long term business plans and support reserve processes.
5. Ensure annual reservoir data gathering programmes are completed as required.
6. Identify in-wellbore opportunities to optimise production from existing wells and to review poor well performance to identify reasons for poor performance and develop remedial action plans.
7. Identify and build development well inventory in “Development Ready” areas.
8. Ensure all subsurface technical work is appropriately assured through formal and informal technical reviews both internally and externally (JV).

Professional Experience
Essential experience required for this position includes:
9. Minimum of 3 years petroleum industry experience in production or reservoir engineering
10. Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team of professionals and/or individual contributors.
11. Proven self-starter and self-guided, with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with key stakeholders
Desired experience for this position includes:
12. Practical Coal Seam Gas experience
13. Reservoir engineering technical experience across appraisal, development and operations phases of field life.
Essential qualifications required for this position are:
14. Degree qualified subsurface professional (petroleum/reservoir engineering) with relevant work/industry experience in a subsurface team environment.
