Our client is a Perth-based start-up pharmaceutical manufacturing facility that provides contract manufacturing services. They are the leading supplier of sterile liquid pharmaceuticals not only in Australia but also globally. They are supported by a successful national pharmaceutical parent company, with multiple organisations under their umbrella.
About the Role
As the production planner and scheduler, your main responsibility will be to create and maintain a master production schedule that will form the basis for the supply chain operations. You will forecast from 0 to 24 months, working closely with the manufacturing plant.
Duties & responsibilities include:
1. Monitor and assess changes in product demand
2. Be able to adapt production plans quickly and accordingly
3. Drive efficiency and accuracy in the planning process
4. Work closely with cross-functional teams
5. Identify potential supply chain issues
6. Be able to resolve issues proactively
7. Escalate critical matters when necessary
8. Collaborate with various teams to optimize inventory levels while meeting customer service objectives
About You
9. Minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning
10. Experience in the pharmaceutical or FMCG industry
11. Tertiary qualification in supply chain or APICS certification would be an advantage
12. High level of proficiency in MS Office in particular Excel
13. Ability to work in a fast-paced high-through put environment
14. Be able to work independently, adapt and learn quickly
