The Workforce Compliance Specialist ensures adherence to modern awards, enterprise agreements, legislative requirements and organizational policies. Your ability to interpret and translate industrial instruments is critical as is your understanding of HR data, and payroll systems. Your contributions will play a key part in maintaining the integrity of our payroll systems and ensuring exceptional service delivery across the organization.AccountabilitiesMonitor and ensure compliance with national and state employment laws, modern awards, and enterprise agreements including the Fair Work legislation.Provide authoritative advice and interpretation on legislation, modern awards, and enterprise agreements to ensure compliance and best practice application.Accurately calculate and advise on casual rates of pay and entitlements for employees.Accurately set up and maintain payroll conditions, rates of pay, and entitlements in the payroll system.Ensure payroll systems and configurations meet regulatory and organizational standards.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance payroll processes and maintain data integrity.Collaborate with key stakeholders to provide compliance guidance on candidate placements, contracts, and onboarding.Act as a point of contact for workforce compliance-related queries from internal teams and key stakeholders ensuring timely and accurate advisory services in line with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.Assist with audits and liaise with regulatory bodies as required.Key Performance Indicators100% compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.Timely updates and implementation of changes to reflect legislative changes.Effective risk mitigation strategies reducing potential legal and financial risks.Job RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Law, or a related field (preferred).Proven experience in payroll compliance, governance, or a related field.Extensive knowledge of complex modern awards and enterprise agreements.Strong proficiency in payroll systems (e.g. PeopleSoft, Oracle).Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.Strong understanding of national employment laws and industry compliance requirements.High attention to detail.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex compliance challenges.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.Energetic, enthusiastic individual with the ability to work in fast-paced environments.On OfferWe empower our people to carve their own career paths their way.
