Your new role
We are passionate about supporting individuals, families, and children experiencing vulnerability and provide dedicated services in community development, complex casework, emergency relief, and out-of-home care.
We work in both inner and outer Gippsland communities with bases in Morwell, Sale and Bairnsdale, so be prepared to travel across the whole of Gippsland. Our work isn’t easy, but it matters, and you will be working with people who care as much as you do.
As a Relief Social Worker in the Gippsland region, you will play a vital role in delivering essential support across various programs, empowering individuals and families to overcome challenges related to child and family services, family violence, and homelessness.

Your skills and experience
You enjoy the variety that comes from adapting to new programs and working situations, it keeps your skills sharp and your work engaging.
You will bring with you:
* A Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent qualification to meet the mandatory minimum qualifications for family violence practitioners.
* Substantial experience working with vulnerable children and families in the community service sector, including case management, intake assessment, and emergency response.
* Strong knowledge and skills as a practitioner working across a range of programs and services.
* Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation, assessment tools and frameworks such as the ‘Best Interests’ framework, CYFA 2005, Family Violence Protection Act 2008, FVISS, CISS, and MARAM frameworks.
* A current Victorian driver’s licence.
