Mamamia is on the lookout for a Lifestyle Producer to join our best-in-class Editorial team.
But first, here's a bit about us.
Mamamia is Australia's largest women's media company.
Our core purpose is to make the world a better place for women and girls. That's what guides everything we do. Mamamia reaches seven million women each month across our written, video, audio, and social platforms and we have the largest women's podcast network in the world.
What we're looking for.
We're seeking a versatile Lifestyle Writer to pitch, write, and create content across all sub-sections of our lifestyle vertical, with a focus on fashion, shoppable content, and parenting. You'll be a well-rounded digital producer with a talent for identifying click-worthy angles and the ability to craft compelling content across both our website and social platforms.
This role operates from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday, and requires a keen eye for engaging storytelling that keeps our audience informed and entertained.
Here's some of the stuff you can expect to be doing if you join us:
Write, commission, and source quality lifestyle content for the site.
Create video content for Mamamia's social channels, including TikTok and Instagram.
Shadow editors during driving shifts, assigning writers, publishing content, writing headlines, curating the homepage, and checking resells.
Assist the Morning Editor with pitching and writing breaking news and entertainment stories for the first portion of the day as needed.
Monitor TV, radio, print, online content, and social media platforms for trending lifestyle topics.
Create serialised lifestyle content and monitor affiliate revenue to improve revenue streams.
Maintain a detailed lifestyle calendar for seasonal content and key dates.
Write concise, on-brand social media 'sells' and headlines to maximise shareability.
Now, a bit about you.
At least five years experience writing for a digital media publication.
A team player who takes ownership of responsibilities, communicates effectively and gives and receives feedback with honesty, respect, curiosity, and openness.
Ability to prioritise the needs and perspectives of our audience and commercial partners in decision-making and problem-solving.
Demonstrated ability to adapt a measured approach and drive process improvement initiatives and solve problems creatively in a fast-paced environment.
Life at Mamamia.
We're fast-paced, innovative, and deeply collaborative. Mamamia feels small enough that you can create real and tangible change, but has the structure to support your ideas with experienced and industry-leading teams, and deliver them to an audience of millions of women every month.
We have a startup spirit within a scaled-up business structure and we're incredibly proud of the culture and community we've created. Our team is inclusive, passionate, and fun; many lifelong friendships and connections have been forged in Mamamia HQ.
But enough about us, let's talk about how we can help you. At Mamamia, we want to support all of our staff in kicking as many career goals as possible so that's why we'll support you in getting involved in the things you're actually interested in. Think you might want to broaden your scope? Get exposure to another team in the business? Try something new and develop your skills? We'll help you make it happen and cheer you on the whole way.
On top of all that, Mamamia also offers:
Flexible working conditions.
The opportunity to celebrate your birthday and ongoing dedication with additional leave days.
Paid parental leave.
Paid volunteer leave to get involved with our charity partners.
The opportunity to work for a purpose-driven company and help us make the world a better place for women and girls.
